In just over a month the [Community Leadership Summit 2010](https://communityleadershipsummit.com/) will be kicking off in Portland, Oregon; taking place the weekend before [OSCON](https://www.oscon.com/oscon2010). The event takes place on **17th – 18th July 2010**.
I started organizing this event last year, and it was a great success, with an awesome collection of attendees.
The Community Leadership Summit 2010 is the second incarnation of the event and is designed to bring together community leaders and managers and the projects and organizations that are interested in growing and empowering a strong community. The event provides an unconference style schedule in which attendees can discuss, debate and explore topics. This is augmented with a range of scheduled talks, panel discussions, networking opportunities and more.
The event provides a great opportunity to bring together the leading minds in the field with new community builders to discuss topics such as governance, creating collaborative environments, conflict resolution, transparency, open infrastructure, social networking, commercial investment in community, engineering vs. marketing approaches to community leadership and much more.
I am going to be blogging a lot about the event over the coming month, so be sure to join us, [go and register](https://www.communityleadershipsummit.com/register/), and [keep up to date on Facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=186487039968&ref=mf).
